Intensive Training System Addresses Complex Commercial Lending Decisions

Intensive Training System Addresses Complex Commercial Lending Decisions

Omega Performance's Advanced Credit Analysis Clinics enhance lenders' ability to analyze and manage complex credit situations.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) November 6, 2006

Omega Performance announced today the availability of Advanced Credit Analysis—a series of half-day, highly interactive clinics for experienced commercial lenders. The Advanced Credit Analysis clinics build upon the foundational knowledge and skills imparted in the company's Commercial Loans to Business training program by focusing on more complicated credit issues. Omega Performance's expert credit risk specialists will coach lenders to employ advanced analytical techniques that speed analysis, improve accuracy, and minimize portfolio risk enabling them to recommend loan structures appropriate to the conditions.

"Experienced risk managers and commercial lenders need advanced analytical skills and knowledge to effectively evaluate complex commercial lending opportunities," said Vicki Martell, Omega Performance vice president-product manager, credit and commercial sales. "Our Advanced Credit Analysis clinics deliver high-impact risk analysis techniques, and the interactive format of the clinics gives experienced lending professionals the opportunity to share knowledge. This powerful combination enhances participants' skills in financial accounting, analysis, and credit structuring."

Advanced Credit Analysis clinics are led by an expert facilitator trained in both adult education as well commercial credit, and feature case studies that each focus on a unique set of commercial risk management issues. The cases challenge participants to perform an intensive financial analysis to identify and mitigate the business and financial risks to both the prospective borrower and the lending institution, and structure appropriate credit solutions. Participants leave the clinic equipped to make better commercial credit decisions, thus reducing the risk of non-performing loans that could erode the institution's credit quality and profitability.

This week, Omega Performance also launched its "Accelerate Your Lending Performance" campaign which promotes the many complimentary tools and resources available for download on the company's website, including an eBook on analyzing business borrowing cases, and an online demonstration of the Commercial Loans to Business training program.

Through the company's 30+ years of successfully training credit professionals around the globe, it has discovered the importance of a financial institution's commercial lending and training functions working collaboratively to ensure its commercial lenders continuously improve their credit underwriting skills. Consequently, Omega Performance has enabled a unique online mechanism for the Accelerate Your Lending Performance campaign that allows these two important functions to share the company's tools and resources. NO BIDDING ON BELMONT COSTS? Dominic Shambra, former Director of Planning and Developement for the LAUSD speaks out about the Belmont Learning Center contract.

According to Dominic Shambra, former Director of Planning and Development for the Los Angeles Unified School District, there was no competitive bidding for the Belmont Learning Center contract.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2004

According to Dominic Shambra, former Director of Planning and Development for the Los Angeles Unified School District, there was no competitive bidding for the Belmont Learning Center contract. “It was a request for proposal and it wasn’t one that asked for a bid.” In this Part 1 of a 2 part interview, Shambra told Emmy Award winning FULL DISCLOSURE host Leslie Dutton about his role. “I was one of five on the committee that recommended (the developer/contractor) to the Board of Education.” “My responsibility was to coordinate for the District those activities which were done by lawyers, the business people.” And, in response to his battles with the oversight committee members, Shambra said he wore a railroad engineer’s cap to one meeting because they said I was railroading this whole project. We were very strong and we were very aggressive and we stood up for what we believed.”

This Part 1 of the Full Disclosure interview with Dominic Shambra is set to air worldwide on the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting Thursday, July 29nd on the PROGRAM page at http://www. fulldisclosure. net/Program_Details/402_Dominic_Shambra. htm (http://www. fulldisclosure. net/Program_Details/402_Dominic_Shambra. htm)

The series is entitled “BELMONT: The World's Most Expensive High School". Costs to date for the development are $175 million, which was financed in 1997 with non-voter approved, tax-exempt bonds known as Certificates of Participation (COP's). The Los Angeles Unified School Board has already approved an additional $110 million for remediation of environmental hazards on the Belmont campus, which was built on top of 1,000 closed oil wells and is plagued with methane gas and hydrogen sulfide. On Tuesday, June 22, 2004 the LAUSD board approved the project’s environmental impact report, paving the way for completion of the stymied project.

ESGR and Richard Childress Racing to Run All-Star Salute to America's Employers in NASCAR Bush Series Races

The National Committee For Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve( ESGR) and Richard Childress Racing will bring together some of NASCAR's biggest drivers for a five-race NASCAR Bush Series salute to America's supportive employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists.

Daytona Beach, FA (PRWEB) February 10, 2004

The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) will bring together some of NASCARÂ’s biggest stars for a five-race NASCAR Busch Series salute to AmericaÂ’s supportive employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists.

“It’s an honor for RCR to put this program together with ESGR to help bring awareness to the important work they’re doing on behalf of the men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve,” said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “The trips I’ve taken overseas with ESGR to meet with our troops in places like Iraq, Kuwait, and Bosnia have made me even more proud of the dedication and patriotism our troops have for our country. It’s very important for all employers to support their employees who are defending our country in the Guard and Reserve and I appreciate Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte, Ricky Craven, Kevin Harvick and Kerry Earnhardt for driving the ESGR 29 Car.”

“We are excited to partner with the RCR Team and the 5 All-Star Drivers that Richard has recruited to drive for America’s Outstanding Employers. A unique paint scheme, honoring each National Guard and Reserve Component will be featured at each of the 5 selected Busch Series races. In addition to this unique race plan, a show car, known as “America’s Car”, will tour the United States stopping in a minimum of sixty-five cities. ESGR, in cooperation with the local chambers of commerce will host a series of educational breakfast forums that are designed to recognize more than 10,000 employers nationwide. The American public will have the opportunity to be photographed with “America’s Car” and be asked to show their support by signing their name to several large banners associated with the show car. Our goal is to get one signature of support for everyone of the 1.2 million men and women who serve”, said Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director.

“Today, in support of the war on terrorism and the ongoing operations in Iraq, an essential alliance has been formed with many of America’s employers who have become inextricably linked to the nation’s defense by sharing their most precious asset, their employees”, added Hollingsworth.
